4th Bin believes that individuals and businesses have a social and moral responsibility in the pursuit of the greater good.
We regularly partner with scientists, charities, artists, thinkers, medical researchers, and religious-based organizations to provide material and financial support in order to move the needle to better our collective good. And, in the process, we help make society a little bit better.
4TH BIN shares a local New York City-based location with The Earth Institute at Columbia University, and has a strong interest in sustainability, smarter economics, and scientific progress, naturally aligning our organization with The Earth Institute.
As an IT Data Compliance and Asset Management company, we are committed to the highest standards of sustainability at both the local and global level.
4TH BIN participated in Global Design NYU’s launch of COLLAPSE: CLIMATE, CITIES & CULTURE, an exhibition open to the public that focuses on the design community’s response to environmental extremes, using architectural models, design prototypes, drawings, and videos to propose future scenarios to improve the health and well-being for our fragile planet and all of its occupants.
We provided examples of e-waste to be included within the exhibition, as the world’s response to e-waste management is a key part of future sustainability and recycling efforts.
4TH BIN sponsored and supported Brooklyn-based artist Wiena Lin in her groundbreaking exhibition DISASSEMBLY: Brooklyn, which took place at A/D/O in Greenpoint, Brooklyn throughout Summer 2018.
DISASSEMBLY: Brooklyn is a participatory art installation that explores our obsession with technology and the untold story of the consumer electronics lifecycle, as well as the devastating environmental and labor conditions of offshore recycling. The artwork translates the global consumer electronic waste cycle into an immersive experience with a social conscience.
In addition to sponsorship, 4TH BIN participated in a panel discussion on smart sustainability, e-cycling, and consumer electronics.
Guatemala’s The Parish School
4th Bin provided The Parish School of San Andres Sajcabaja at Santa Cruz del Quiche, Guatemala with technology assets to underprivileged children for educational purposes.
These technology assets, which may have been sent to landfills or been disposed in an unsustainable manner, have instead found a new home with those who need them most.
Cycle for Survival is a national movement to beat rare cancers. 100% of donations go to fund rare cancer research led by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
4TH BIN raised over $18,000 in 2017 alone through team cycling events sponsored by Cycle for Survival. We are proud to partner with this wonderful organization that strives to eliminate cancer.
For the last 29 years, New York Cares has organized the city’s largest winter coat drive, gathering over 1.8 million winter coats.
4TH BIN annually organizes, and collects, coats from our wide and diverse client base and donates them to New York Cares. We believe when we help those who are less fortunate, we make a real difference in NYC and the world.
