4THBIN is proud to have been added as a participating party in the United Nations Global Compact, the international organization’s corporate responsibility initiative with over 9,000 business and non-business participants in 135 countries.

According to the United Nations, the United Nations Global Compact initiative reflects “A call to companies to align strategies and operations with universal principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, and take actions that advance societal goals.”

As a participant, 4THBIN will begin an ongoing conversation with the recycling community on ways to develop more sustainable business practices, shift corporate behavior, and one step at a time, make the world a better place. 4THBIN will be guided by the Ten Principles set forth by the United Nations Global Compact. They include principles in the areas of Human Rights, Labor, the Environment, and Anti-Corruption.

John Kirsch, Co-Founder and Partner of 4THBIN, said:

“Corporate sustainability has always been a driving force behind 4THBIN, and our participation in the United Nations Global Compact will help further 4THBIN’s goals of introducing corporate sustainability to a wide variety of businesses who want to make the world a better place, but don’t necessarily know where to begin. We look forward to engaging with the business community in this vital area.”

In the coming months and years, 4THBIN will keep all our entire community updated on our efforts to implement United Nations Global Compact principles, through both periodic updates on this site and an annual Communication on Progress (COP) on the United Nations Global Compact site.
