It’s true. Not all recyclers do things the same way.  Done right, recycling your company's old electronics or data center dismantling takes place under a comprehensive, documented secure approach that prevents data leaks and ensures equipment disposal is done responsible and sustainable. At 4THBIN we are certified and accredited by the industry’s most rigorous and trusted institutions for data security and sustainability. Here are some questions to ask when choosing your e-recycler or ITAD provider:

Am I Putting Myself to Risk?

4THBIN mitigates personal and corporate risk by providing ethical, responsible, and certified solutions for e-waste recycling that adheres to all recycling laws, exportation laws, and data security standards. As an e-Steward, we pledge, and are audited to ensure, that no electronic waste from our processes will end up in a landfill or will be illegally exported.

What Happens to My IT Assets?

4THBIN provides complete asset tracking for each device collected, including full chain-of-custody for any equipment. Starting from pick-up, during processing, to final disposition, 4THBIN provides reports for exactly what happens and why.
How is My Data being Protected?

For each data-bearing asset collected, 4THBIN provides full audit documentation including the methods used, the location services that were performed, and chain-of-custody reporting for each asset. Data destruction performed is NIST800-88 and DoD5220-M compliant, as well as meeting or exceeding requirements for major government regulations including GLBA, HIPAA, FISMA, SOX, FISMA, FACTA, PCI DSS, and many more.

What Certifications Do My Vendors Have?

4THBIN is externally audited each year to prove compliance to e-Stewards® and NAID AAA (Data Security). Most ITAD and data security companies hold no environmental certifications at all.
