As summer unfolds its warmth and brightness, it’s the perfect time to take a refreshing approach to environmental responsibility. Amidst summer activities and enjoyment, it’s easy to forget about the accumulation of old electronics. With e-waste being the world’s fastest-growing waste stream, it’s crucial to prioritize its proper management. At 4THBIN, we’re here to help you beat the heat and address your e-waste concerns with our wide range of secure and sustainable solutions.

As summer temperatures rise, so does the global concern over electronic waste. In 2022 alone, a staggering 62 million tonnes (Mt) of e-waste was generated worldwide - an 82% increase since 2010. Summer invites us to refresh and renew, including how we handle our obsolete electronic devices. Many old electronics harbor sensitive data that, if not securely destructed, can result in data breaches and identity theft. Furthermore, improperly disposed e-waste can release hazardous chemicals such as lead and mercury into our environment, posing significant health risks to all Earth’s inhabitants.

Happy Halloween!

To some, the spookiest part of Halloween may be the ghosts or vampires, but to us, it’s the plastic waste that is left behind. Nearly 2,000 tonnes of plastic waste are generated yearly from Halloween scraps, the equivalent of 83 million water bottles. Similar to electronic waste, the scraps that are left behind from Halloween will end up in a landfill - posing major hazards to the environment and humanity.
