We’re thrilled to share that 4THBIN has been featured in Business in Focus! Our company’s name, though unique, perfectly reflects our mission: to fill the crucial gap in waste management with a dedicated focus on electronics recycling - the fourth bin missing from traditional waste collections.

Since our inception in 2009, 4THBIN has been dedicated to bridging the gap in reliable data destruction and e-recycling services. At that time, ethical options were limited, and the growing need for proper e-waste disposal became clear. Our timing was impeccable, aligning with the introduction of stringent e-waste regulations in the U.S., modeled after successful European laws.

We’re proud to have recycled over ten million pounds of e-waste to date. Our comprehensive solutions include a wide range of electronic recycling services, IT asset disposition, data destruction, and brand protection, serving a wide range of clients from startups to government agencies. We’re not just meeting industry standards; we’re exceeding them. Our commitment to exceeding industry standards is reflected in our certifications: we are the first company in New York to be certified by the e-Stewards Initiative, and we hold a platinum grade from EcoVadis.

A major highlight in our journey is our recent merger with ecoTech Management Inc., which significantly expands our capabilities and strengthens our industry presence. This strategic partnership combines 4THBIN’s specialized e-recycling expertise with ecoTech’s extensive experience, enabling us to scale up operations and offer enhanced recycling solutions. The merger strengthens our infrastructure and deepens our connections within the industry, positioning us to address recycling challenges more effectively and sustainably.

As e-waste continues to be the fastest-growing waste stream, 4THBIN remains dedicated to ensuring that electronic equipment is disposed of responsibly and that data is managed securely. With our expanded capabilities and reinforced commitment, we’re excited about the future and the opportunities to make an even greater impact. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to innovate and expand!

For many organizations, managing retired devices often falls to the bottom of the priority list. But as these devices stack up in storage closets or are discarded through unofficial channels, they quietly create risks to both data security and the environment.
